Message from the Dean (KUSOED)

A welcome note for learners and parents joining the B Tech Ed (IT) and BIT pathway.

Message from the dean (KUSOED)

KUSOED has produced hundreds of teachers, teacher educators, educational leaders, development professionals, and researchers. We have expanded beyond conventional disciplinary terrains by focusing on domains as diverse as educational technology, indigenous knowledge, special needs education, school counselling, school transformation, higher education pedagogy, indigenous language teacher education, degree-by-credit accumulation, and recognition of prior learning.

We are excited with the prospect that South City College of Science and Technology is partnering with Kathmandu University School of Education for the B Tech Ed (IT) program in Birgunj, a historical city known for educational movement even during the time of the Rana Regime. Our B Tech Ed (IT) program is unique in its design and implementation. We have strong and time-tested IT courses, courses related to soft skills, TVET courses, and pedagogical courses for 21st-century EdTech educators.

We are mindful that experiential learning is easier said than done. However, KUSOED has set an example of working with communities via our Bachelor to PhD programs. Likewise, we are equally connected with international communities through different kinds of partnerships. Communitization and internationalization are our two pillars of educational intervention, and we are committed to implementing these dimensions in Birgunj through SCcST.

We welcome parents to visit SCcST and know more about the program. You can also contact relevant KUSOED officials. We are always there for educational excellence, which is a necessary condition to transform our society and beyond.
